You can easily participate with these missions that occur in Plymouth Church.

Family Promise Plymouth is part of a community wide network that hosts homeless families with children at the church for one week every quarter.  During that week, we need people to host the families, provide meals and play with children.  For more information, please contact Mary Kaczor, or call 785-760-1561.

Just Food  Plymouth is a “Pillar Congregation” to Just Food, the Douglas County Food Bank. Near the end of every month, reusable grocery bags are distributed so that we may return them full of food and personal items on the first Sunday of each month. Our monthly concentrated effort helps the Just Food staff manage their warehouse stores more effectively and supports hungry people in our community.

Christmas Mission Opportunities!

The Hope Tree Please consider sharing your holiday joy with a Lawrence Community Shelter guest. For those who have so little, your gift will be a beacon of hope. The tree, decorated with gift requests, is located in the north foyer or Mayflower Room each Advent season.

The Mitten Tree The Mitten Tree is a Plymouth Advent tradition. Throughout the Advent season, Plymouth members and friends decorate the tree in the sanctuary with mittens, gloves, hats, socks, and scarves.  These items are sent  on to a clearinghouse for families in need in Lawrence.

Santa’s Sleigh  Also in December, Santa’s Sleigh is ready to receive our donations of personal care items, socks and underwear and other essentials for the Ballard Center’s public pantry.

Head Start Angels Each Christmas, Angel ornaments are available with gift ideas for the children in the Head Start Preschool. Each child receives an article of clothing and a toy from members of the congregation.
