The Board of Mission and Service coordinates many of the local, national, and international mission activities of Plymouth Church. Its members act as liaisons with the many organizations Plymouth supports, helping to provide opportunities for financial support and hands-on mission work as well as coordinating many of the church’s regular and special offerings.
Community Children’s Center/Head Start
Plymouth provides the central location for this program which combines federally funded child development programs with a state-assisted low income daycare center. The program serves approximately 78 children. Head Start contributes to our physical plant by paying for its utilities and making repairs and improvements. An open house at Head Start in the spring gives Plymouth members the opportunity to see and hear about the program and to find out about volunteer needs. Contact person is Carolyn Kelly, 842-2515.
Meeting Space Ministry
Our church buildings provide a meeting place for numerous local organizations. As a downtown church, this ministry is an important part of who we are as a congregation.
Groups that meet at Plymouth occasionally are the Kaw Valley Quilters Guild, Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. To get involved, please call the organization directly.
