This is the point in Advent when, hopefully, a lot of holiday stresses begin to subside. School is winding to a close. Some days off from work are on the horizon. Your shopping should be done by now… maybe. It’s fitting then that the Fourth Week of Advent celebrates Joy.
It’s in this joyful spirit that each year at this time Plymouth holds it’s annual Children’s Christmas Pageant during our 9:30 a.m. traditional worship service. This year Plymouth’s pre-school through middle school students will present “Our Family Memories of Christmas.” Plymouth’s Christian Education Board loves this pageant because we are able to involve so many different groups from Plymouth. Our 6th grade class has interviewed adult Plymouth members about their memories of Christmas. Preschool, grade school and middle school students will participate through narration, playing the roles of traditional Christmas personas, bell choir and singing in choirs.
Due to the Children’s performance, there will be no sermon during the first service. If you need your sermon fix, Rev. Peter Luckey will be preaching during our 11:15 a.m. non-traditional service on the topic of a little town called Bethlehem.
